I really like the candy sweets they are so nice! My mum would always buy me them when I was little! If I won I’d definitely give them to my mum!

  2. Keith C says:

I had a very ‘little boy’s’ attitude to these. “These are GIRLS sweets mummy!”. If the outrageous happened and I was ever given these I’d always cut the elasticy string with scissors so they were no longer in necklace or bracelet form 😉

  3. Claire Williams says:

I haven’t had a candy necklace for about 15 years! Mmm, I would love one now though!

  4. Tracy Nixon says:

I remember these from when I was little! I used to put on my necklace then eat it from around my neck (by pulling the elastic into my mouth!). I also have one bad memory – when my brother grabbed it then let go so the elastic and sweeties flicked back and hit me in the face !!! Ouch lol! It didn’t put me off eating them though x

  5. Lauren says:

Parma violets, bubblegum flavour turtles (which were green and sold for 1p each), shrimps, bananas, flying saucers, milk bottles, white mice…these are just some of the sweets I used to love as a kid.

  6. Loretta da silva says:

  7. Katie Russell says:

I once chipped a tooth biting into these but luckily it was only a baby tooth 😉 It taught me a whole new respect for hard candy and haven’t had a candy necklace since…but am very willing to give them another ‘crack’!

  16. Sarah Laycock says:

I used to be devastated when I had eaten the last sweet and all that was left was string! x

  17. Alex Whittaker says:

I loved getting these necklaces. I was never allowed many sweets as a child and I loved these because I could make them last for ages and flick them at my very annoying older sisters 🙂

  18. a edkins says:

these are great,, i used them at a hen night i organised…all the hens had a necklace and had to get men to bite one off…each man one bite. at the end of the night the one with the least left was the winner x

  19. Georgina Ball says:

I always used to wear these for as long as possible, they never lasted long lol!

  20. Beth says:

I remember these sweets got banned from our school, people would bit one half then fire the second half like a catapult!! x

  21. Jamie-Lee says:

Wow the one fun and yummy way to keep the kids quiet. However my husband showed me a new trick with them the other day which was how to fire them across the room using the elastic they are on. Best not show the kids that one haha

  22. Rob Proietti says:

    These had three uses.

The Good) They were a tasty and sneaky little treat in the classroom while wearing them under a long-sleeved blazer.

The bad) Some ‘models’ (Ha) included a watch. The watch never changed time. It could’ve confused children to think they’ve stopped time, just like Bernard’s watch.

The Ugly) These were the artillery shells of the school playground.

  23. vicky says:

i used to love these when were in school although they used to be used as weapons buy biting half and using the elastic to flick them lol now my daughter loves these but i think ill not tell her bout the flicking part otherwise ill have a candy in my eyes not just my belly

  24. kayleigh says:

i still buy these from my local wholesales loved them as a child and love them now. have also passed on the love of these necklaces to my 4 kiddies, they are totally hooked 😉

I used to love firing these at any unsuspecting family members! This was definitely just as much fun as eating them, and to be honest…I’d probably still do the same now!

  27. calley bryson says:

Ooooohhhh I LOVE candy Necklaces I used to always wear them when I was little and have a munch now and then they used to last me hours LOL 🙂

  28. bec says:

Tiffany’s will not get a look in this summer – the ultimate Summer Ball accessory is the Candy Necklace 🙂
Towards the end of the evening they will give you that extra boost of energy to get you through till morning!

  29. Luci says:

I managed to pull one of my teeth out on a candy necklace when I was about 7. My 6 year old daughter has her first wobbly tooth so if I was lucky enough to win I would give the necklace to her so we can start a gruesome family tradition!

  30. andrea tinkler says:

Oh how i loved and still love these. i always had a sticky neck as a child from licking them as little as i could before crunching them off the elastic.

We used to buy these at the sweetie stall at our school plays then see how many we could eat without snapping the string!

  34. Danielle says:

Ahh I remember the day’s when I was too eager to get to the sweets, which then resulted in the familiar ‘snap back’ of the elastic, this necklace may have improved my patience as a young girl….who am I kidding I never learnt! ‘*SNAP*…Mmmm yum’…Yummy pretty delights!
