We’re back with week two of our extra special American Retro sweet of the week giveaway!
Chewbz Kayleigh picked up some of the most popular candy while out in Florida, just so we could send some out to you :D. While we can’t bring you the warm weather, we can send you a little bit of sweet Florida sunshine if you win this weeks Retro sweet of the week!

Twizzlers!
These are really popular across the pond, and we’re sure a lot of you will of heard of them already. For those of you that haven’t tried ’em, Twizzlers are yummy, chewy, strawberry flavoured liquorice strips. Phew!

I would love to win these.. I haven’t had them since I was seventeen (a fair few years back now lol) and used to nanny for american families over here in the UK..
You just can’t beat them for flavour no matter what other liquorice you buy.

I stupidly gave up sweets for Lent because I eat way too much of the things. I’m now very much regretting this idea! My favs are strawberry laces and making them into plaits and then eating them all. Seeing these as well as seeing a stranded strawberry lace on the street the other day, you have tempted me beyond all temptation with these twizzlers. I have to have something yummy to much on at the end of lent, and this would be a perfect reward! 😛
I think I should win these because ‘Twizzley’ Describes me so well. You either love me or hate me, like liquorice, and I am a sweetheart like strawberries!

Im a big fan of America’s food and culture, and unfortuantly I haven’t been to America yet but Im saving up every last penny I have, so It would be nice to have a reminder to help me along the way haha. x

The name ‘Twizzlers’ just so reminds me of a certain branded meat product, Turkey Twizzlers, which were absolutely awful. Since taken off the shelves due to lack of meat content, I believe :S Surely the only remedy for for such a bad name association is to eat something delightfully tasty of the same name?? 😀

awww… best sweets ever!! my cousin always used to bring me these from america when I was younger but she hasnt been home in years!! I would do anything for a bag of twizzlers now =)

Never tried these strawberry laces have tried others ones which my kids like.My youngest son decided to take the laces out of his shoes and put the strawberry laces in them instead,he said they looked good and if he got hungry he could just eat his laces.:)
